MQHYA Member Spotlight: CJ Kirkland

This month, we are featuring MQHYA member CJ Kirkland from Buckner, Missouri.

How long have you been showing horses?  Since I was 4 years old, I am 12 now so 8 years.

What is your horse’s name and what classes do you show in?  I have been blessed with great horses in the past. My small fry horse was BCQH Diamond Lass and my first 13 & Under horse was Golden King of Bling. This year I’m stepping up on Premium Pine. I am going to try a new event for me, Western Riding. I am also going to show TeCoolest Gold in Showmanship and Halter. 

What is your favorite horse show to attend?  All of them!  I love having fun with my horse show friends!

What is your favorite part about being a member of MQHYA?  Meeting new friends and learning from others.

What are your hobbies outside of the horse world?  Basketball, Baseball, and driving my Go Cart.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I haven’t decided yet.

Do you have any other pets? What are their names? Many other horses and 2 dogs named Tilly and Fergus

If you could be a Disney character, which one would you be?  Iron Man
