Where are you from: Valentine, NE

How long have you been showing horses?  Since age 5.  I am 50, but took several years off to attend college and raise a family

How long have you been in Missouri?  2 years

What is your favorite horse show? American Royal

What is your favorite event to show in?  Horsemanship and Ranch Riding it is a tie

What is your favorite class to watch?  Ranch Riding

Do you have any superstitions when you show?  Never pin your number with the pin facing down

Who is your all-time favorite horse? And why?  Extra Radical, He is so versatile and does both performance and ranch classes while still being a halter champion 

If you are not at a horse show, what would we find you doing? Scuba diving, riding horses, hiking, and playing with my 6 dogs

Do you have another job…besides taking care of your horses?  I am a federal prosecutor 

What is your favorite thing about MQHA?  The people!!

Favorite hobby besides showing horses?  Scuba diving

Favorite food?  Fresh fruit 

Favorite restaurant? The Vineyards in Weston, MO

Favorite movie?  True Grit

Favorite quote?  Tough times don’t last, tough people do.

What is your dream vacation?  Sailboat, diving the great barrier reef, riding horses on the beach!

What are you terrible at but love to do anyway?   Singing

What is one thing on your bucket list?  Dive the Great Barrier Reef

Tell us something most people don’t know about you?  I survived breast cancer at age 39.  Every day is a gift.

One piece of advice you would like to share with exhibitors who are just getting started?  It’s okay to be scared, make mistakes, and fail.  Surround yourself with people who will lift you up and help you improve and try again.  Success will come; enjoy the journey and the people you meet on it.
