Hello everyone! I know that it is hard to believe, but the year is coming to an end. This means we have a lot of important things to share!

MQHA Annual Convention and Awards Banquet

January 20-22, 2023| Osage Beach, Missouri

Please join us January 20-22, 2023, at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach to celebrate all the accomplishments of the 2022 show season and plan for 2023! This is going to be an event you won’t want to miss! Convention packets were mailed last week, so you should have received yours.

Annual MQHYA Youth & Parent Meetings

Our annual Parent Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 21 from 8:30-9:00am. Our Youth Meeting will follow from 9:00-10:30am. Following our meetings and the morning convention sessions, we’ll head to Frank and Lola’s in the hotel for pizza and bowling. This is always a fun team-building/bonding activity! I hope to see each of you there!

MQHYA Leadership Team Elections

During our Youth Meeting, we will elect our 2023 officer and director team! We are going to do this a little differently this year. We are going to take nominations in advance of our meeting. We will still allow nominations from the floor, but our hope is this will speed up our election process AND allow us to help each of you campaign a little in advance of our meeting. Please see the descriptions for the officer and director positions attached. To submit a nomination, please use the Google form, linked below. (If you would like to be posted on MQHYA’s social media as a candidate, fill this form out.) We will still be contacting nominated members to see if they accept the nomination.

MQHYA Presidents Reception

During the MQHA Presidents Reception on Friday evening, we will be hosting a party of our own! We will be serving hot cocoa and snacks starting at 6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to meet other youth members before our meeting on Saturday morning. Last year this was a huge success, so make sure to come and drink some hot cocoa with us! We'll be sure to share a location for this in advance of the convention.

Remember to renew your membership for 2023! Also, get your Letters of Intent turned in before you start your qualifying for 2023. You can find the 2023 Letter of Intent form as well as the MQHA membership form attached.
