MQHYA Spotlight: Jordan Macan
Written by Hannah Inchiostro
MEET JORDAN
While May is bringing all this rain, let's bring some sunlight with Jordan Macan! Jordan is from Kearney, Missouri and has been showing horses since she was 4 years old in lead line. At such a young age, Jordan has already accomplished many things not only in the horse world but in the other parts of her life! She absolutely loves riding and showing horses and it brings out the best in her!
JORDAN’S PARTNER
Jordan’s all-time favorite horse would have to be Zippo Romeo, also known as Romey. Since he first came to the barn, Jordan has been so happy to have him. Romey has taught Jordan a lot, especially about trail. Romey is the funniest horse she has ever ridden. He even bucked Jordan off at the NSBA World Show, but she forgave him and still loves him a lot. Romey especially loves people food and will settle for horse treats. Jordan had a spectacular year showing Romey placing 10th in the showmanship and 6th in trail at the NSBA World, and placing 12th in horsemanship, western pleasure and 6th in the trail in the Congress in small fry, all under the guidance of Brooke Gardner Performance Horses.
WHEN SHE’S NOT AT THE HORSE SHOWS
When Jordan is not kicking butt at a horse show, Jordan is most likely playing at the barn with her horses and her dog Titan. And if she is not horsing around, Jordan can be found playing with her Breyer horses, or having major success in basketball and soccer!
FUTURE HOPES AND DREAMS
One of Jordan’s dream vacations is to ride horses on the beach in the Caribbean
Another thing that she would love to learn how to do is trick riding!
