Missouri Quarter Horse Youth Association - September 2018 News

Hello Everyone!

I hope all of you have gotten back into the routine of the school year and enjoying all of your classes! This summer our members have achieved great things and won some fantastic awards!

In June nine of our members – Emilee Block, Kat Dixon, Evie Doles, Abby Eddy, myself (Justin Eddy), Brooke Inchiostro, Hannah Inchiostro, Maddox Murphy and Paige Wellendorf attended the AQHYA Youth Excellence Seminar (Y.E.S.) in College Station, TX. This year, the event was held in conjunction with the AQHA Youth World Cup. We heard from great speakers like Clint Swindall, who spoke to us about why it was important to be engaged in what we do. We also were there to elect the new set of officers and directors for AQHYA. I am excited to say that I was re-elected as a director for Region 3. Everyone that attended truly enjoyed and we hope to continue to take numbers like this in the future!

In August, many of our members converged in Oklahoma City for the AQHYA World Championship Show. We had a great time and once again had great results in the arena and outside the arena in the leadership events. Hannah Inchiostro put together another great scrapbook for us which won 1st place in our division (for the second year in a row)! This year’s youth world was also the first time that Region 3 held a pizza party and social hour. We had a great time and really enjoyed meeting AQHYA members from other states!

Congratulations to everyone who made it to OKC, that is in itself an honor and a special congratulations to the following:
