MQHYA Member Spotlight: Addison Hinton

November’s MQHYA Spotlight is gleaming toward Addison Hinton, a Freshman in high school from

Ashland, MO. Not only is Addison serving as a Region Three Director for AQHYA and a Director at Large

for MQHYA, but she is also a fierce competitor!

Addison competes in the Versatility Ranch Horse Ranch Riding, Reining, and Ranch Trail on her horses,

Minnie (Gunnawinya Jac) and Topper (FFR Wizard). While she enjoys all of these events, the Ranch Trail

is Addison’s favorite because “it brings a real ranch feel to the show pen.”

When asked what makes MQHYA special to her, Addison replied:

“MQHYA has opened the door for countless opportunities and helped me discover the Youth Excellence

Seminar (YES), the Young Horse Development Program, and so much more.” Addison encourages youth

who are just beginning their journey within the equine industry to become involved with leadership and

to make connections with industry professionals as well as other competitors.

MQHYA extends congratulations to Addison on her recent admittance to the RHC Young Horse

Development Program and a very successful competition season!
